Seguin Police Department - 2023 National Night Out

National Night Out began in 1984 with the goal of encouraging neighbors to come out of their homes, turn on their front porch lights and show a united front against crime. Over the years, the event has expanded to include block parties, potlucks, live music and visits from police officers, firefighters and government officials. “Every year, Seguin PD hosts dozens of block parties across the city with the goal of connecting neighbors so they can discuss ways to prevent crime in their neighborhood as part of the larger goal to keep Seguin a safe community” said Sarah Chilutti, Seguin Police Department Community Engagement Officer. 

If your street or neighborhood is hosting a National Night Out block party, online registration is now open! Registration is not required, but it’s the only way to request visits from the Seguin Police Department, Seguin Fire Department or City officials during your party. Deadline to register is September 26, 2023 by 5 pm.
