The Women's Council Luncheon hosted by the Seguin Chamber is scheduled for January 29, 2025, at the Seguin Public Library in the Community Meeting Room. The Mental Health Panelists include Kinga Kasprzyk of Courageous Conversations Therapy, Chris Mata of the Teddy Buerger Center, and Veronica Carter of the Guadalupe Regional Wellness Center. Together, they will share insights on managing stress, building resilience, and thriving in challenging times followed by a lunch catered by Sweet Treats Seguin. Kinga Kasprzyk, LPC - Courageous Conversations Therapy
- Kinga Kasprzyk is a licensed professional counselor with six years of experience, specializing in adult therapy for individuals 18+. She is the founder of Courageous Conversations Therapy, a 100% telehealth private practice based in Texas. Kinga’s expertise includes treating childhood and sexual trauma, social anxiety, depression, and interpersonal or familial stress, utilizing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Previously, Kinga trained at Hartgrove Hospital in Illinois, providing therapy for severe mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. Licensed in Texas, Illinois, Maryland, and Louisiana, she emphasizes building strong therapeutic relationships to foster connection and emotional well-being.
Chris Mata, LCSW - The Teddy Buerger Center
- Chris Mata is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Director of Outpatient Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Services at the Teddy Buerger Center, part of Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin, Texas. With over 30 years of experience, Chris specializes in trauma, mental health, and social services. She holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Texas State University and a Master’s from Our Lady of the Lake University. A Board-Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress, Chris is an active member of professional organizations and has contributed to initiatives like the Guadalupe County Child Welfare Board and the Sexual Assault Response Team.
Veronica Carter - Guadalupe Regional Wellness Center
- Veronica has been an instructor at Guadalupe Regional Wellness Center for the past 17 years, bringing her knowledge and passion to various classes that have positively impacted countless lives. Currently, she specializes in teaching Yoga and Zumba, which reflect her true passion for movement and wellness. Veronica has built an incredible Zumba program at GRWC, fostering a vibrant and welcoming community. She genuinely enjoys connecting with her students and inspiring them to achieve their fitness and wellness goals.
