Description
In historic Jackes Colony area name..named after Jacob Rogers and is one of 550 Freedom Colonies established in Texas by formerly enslaved people about 2 years after the publication of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Additionally, if you are a descendant of one of the indigenous tribes or nations OR a formerly enslaved family that lived in the area or near any one of the freedom colonies in the USA, We would love to hear from you.
